NIS offers comprehensive internal or external vessel and piping inspections catering to all scopes outlined by clients, engineers, and reliability staff. NIS can also assist the client with creating detailed plans of attack a.k.a. inspection scopes in-house specific to the system in place to ensure a thorough inspection and assessment is completed to aid the client with making a judgement call as to when action should be taken to repair and restore the equipment from years of wear and use. With the employment of all our NDT methods simultaneously we can assess the current state of the equipment’s structural & mechanical integrity. Ultrasonic Thickness Surveys is what we use to assess the structural integrity of a vessel by summarizing equipment and test locations that are found to have thickness readings at or below their calculated “flag” thicknesses. Flag thicknesses are typically calculated using the item’s nominal thickness less the engineered corrosion allowance. Finally, in addition to the company being certified to T.S.S.A in all methods performed we have on staff CWB inspectors endorsed by ASME able to assist you with all vessel repair and fabrication inspection requirements.
